The difference between an ING checking account and your local bank's checking account, besides the money saving features, is that there are no physical checks. You set up payments online and they either cut a paper check and mail it for you or electronically transfer the payments to your creditors. This is done free of charge!

Free Unlimited Savings Accounts With No Minimum Balance

ING Direct allows you to open as many savings accounts as you'd like with no minimum balance required. So this means you can separate your money into different "pots" which will help you reach your savings goals in a more methodical manner. You name each account as you wish, like "vacation fund" or "new car fund" so you can easily see your savings progress.

Higher Interest Rates on Your Savings Accounts
