A guy who truly loves you is not going to care that he is not going to get lucky that night or that you guys can't go out and party. If so, then he may just think you look good with him and may want everyone to notice. But if he doesn't care if you are wearing makeup or not in public and is comfortable with just holding your hand, then he probably loves you.

A surefire way to tell if your boyfriend really loves you is to NOT be intimate with him and see how he reacts. If you are already sexually active with him, stop for a bit and tell him you just need a bit more time. If he reacts with understanding then he probably loves you. If he pressures you and doesn't want to be with you after you tell him no, then that is a clear sign that he doesn't really care about YOU or what YOU need and only cares about himself. All guys can feel like they are IN love when they are in a sexual relationship. But when that intimacy is taken away sometimes their true colors start to show.
