My top five Christian poems, written by sister Sheila
The Lord is my sweet Shepard
from thee I'll never stray,
I pray that if I wonder off,
you will help me find my way.
I thank you for my children,
that heaven gave to me,
and when their day has come to rest,
Sweet Jesus they will see.
Calvary, Ill remember you gave your life for me.
Your precious blood cleansed my sins, Sweet Jesus let it be.
I pray for all the world,
those many sins it gave,
I pray for all those people,
Sweet Jesus will you save?
Do you ever wonder why it is your here?
It's all because of Jesus
and what he had to bare.
He Loves you more than you love yourself so don't just put him on a shelf.
Open your heart and He will come in, soon you will call him your best friend.
He's with you when your happy,
and when your feeling blue,
He's with you when your there at home or kneeling at the pew.
Open your heart, and scatter all good seeds, then raise your hands and praise the Lord for he will supply your needs!
No greater love for me hath He,
a haven from despair,
my burdens instantly lifted,
I found the One who cared.
Great suffering He encountered,
Persecution too,
Whenever He was tempted,
all evil did He eschew.
Oh, sacrificial savior
to thee my heart belongs,
my soul rings out in
gladness with praising joyful songs.
In adoration I will serve thee,
acknowledge all your ways
abiding in your presence
accept you all my days.
To go through life and never live for what the Lord supplied,
the day will come when men shall say "we need a place to hide."
All things will be revealed,
for nothing can be concealed,
accept Him now and live.
Eternity He'll give.
If God has gave you children,
teach them how to pray.
Show them by example,
each and everyday.
Instill a blissful spirit,
savored with sincerity,
bind them all together,
ingrained their hearts will be.
Instruct the good word daily,
embed it in their mind.
Through life's perilous storms,
they'll find the sweet sunshine.
