Many will try to convince you that American's simply don't have enough time in their day to attend to all the little things in their lives--you know, like raising their children. Until today, I might have agreed. But not anymore. American's have too much time on their hands.
When American's care more about whether dolls get back together than they do about real people in their real lives, they definitely have too much time on their hands. Come on folks, they are made of plastic. They aren't real.
When American's find it fitting to waste their time worrying over whether doctors should lose their license for writing an excuse for teacher absence -- they definitely have too much time on their hands. Ironically, those same people have probably written an excuse or two for Jr. when he "wasn't feeling well."
I'm all for sharing those touching moments in life or pictures of special occasions. Really I am. But--when American's find the urge to take pictures of breakfast, lunch and dinner and post it on Facebook, they definitely have too much time on their hands. I hate to break it to you folks, but your eggs look just like mine and I really don't need a picture.
I'm as interested as the next person about the adventures of my fellow man, but there are some things I really don't need to know. Save the running commentary about how busy you are and what you have accomplished today for family and friends--they are much more likely to appreciate your sparkling toilet than I am.
I hate to tell you this, but Farmville isn't real. It's pretend. You aren't really growing fresh vegetables to feed you family and you won't be getting any milk from your cyber cows. Spend your time outside growing a real garden instead. At least that way you are putting your time to good use.
I'm the last person to tell you how you should spend your time -- it is, after all, your time. But please, don't expect me to believe you don't have enough time for all the important things in your life.
nice list :)
Funny list - I like the Farmville one haha
