Spice up a traditional football tailgating party with tea goodies. Fill an extra large thermos with freshly brewed hot black tea. Place a batch of football-shaped tea sandwiches and scones, along with tea condiments in a large picnic basket. Wrap the entire fare in a stadium blanket and bring it along to watch your favorite football team win the game.
Celebrate crisp autumn evenings around a campfire or fire pit. Use a leaf-shaped cookie cutter to make and bake scones while you toast and grill cheese tea sandwiches over the fire. Keep a pot of cinnamon spice tea or apple cider warm and ready to drink. Substitute s'mores for tea cakes and pastries. Yum!
Fall is the season for everything pumpkin! For your pumpkin-themed tea party, purchase pumpkin decorations and table ware. Make pumpkin scones and substitute sweet cream for Devonshire cream. Use apple butter instead of strawberry preserves and make autumn squash tea sandwiches. Wash it all down with a pot of black or green tea.
Have some fun this Halloween with a ghoulish tea party! Dress up in your favorite costume and eat a batch of monster face tea sandwiches (don't worry, they're just hard boiled eggs that have been sliced and placed on top of a cracker with Cheezwiz for eyes, nose and mouth). Drink licorice flavored tea or a bracing pot of Darjeeling.
Thanksgiving is a great holiday for High Tea. There's no need to make additional foods because of the bounty that is usually prepared at this time. Simply slice small quantities of traditional Thanksgiving dinner foods and serve in bite size pieces on special china. Prepare a selection of teas including green, black, orange pekoe, Jasmine and your choice of herbal tea.
