Introduction:

Children are wonderful, but sometimes their behavior isn't. Here are a few tips that may help children stop throwing temper tantrums. These tips may help many relationships grow into somethin lasting.

Let Them Help Fix a Snack

Let the children help while fixing a snack for everyone in the house. Peanut butter sandwiches is always a great choice. Let them help choose a great snack. This will keep their minds stay occupied for awhile, just looking in cabinets, and refrigerators. Then look out, their creativity will smile back with a calmer disposition.

Time Out

Children that can't seem to calm down may just need a time out. Try telling them to sit in their favorite chair, and play match the cards, or something that will entertain them, but relax them at the same time.

Naps

Young children should take a nap everyday. These little or long naps will help calm their overactive minds. Then, when they awake, a new fresh start will begin. Try suggesting quieter activities after the children awakes, like reading, and listening to a great story.

Favorite Movie or Books

Try asking the children you take care of what's their favorite movie. It could be,' Toy Story.' Then, look around at book stores, to see if they have this great book on hand. Sometimes books aren't the answer; however if it's about their favorite television character, they may just be interested. Buy the movie, then buy the book.

Hugs and Kisses

Last but not least is all about hugs, and kisses. Children want to know they are loved even when they throw temper tantrums. Tell them how you feel about their behavior. Then, holds them close, and make them know they are indeed loved. You know what to next. Kiss, hug, kiss, hug, and lots more of it.




Final Thoughts

These are some of the things that have worked for me while watching children. I want them to feel loved even when being corrected. I want to help ease their young hyperactive minds. Relationships can grow into something beautiful if love and patience start, and end each conversation.
