Introduction:

It is a virtual world. You can buy your own land. You can also just have your own avatar for free if you are cheap. You do not get your own house then. There were so many possibilities that it fascinated me. There is also the option to make money.

Visit Different Locations and Lands

Many different lands and environments are made on Second Life. In another reality you can visit different places on Earth for what it is worth there. Even if it is a bit of a disappointment it is still something. There is almost something for everyone. There is a site for the Tibetan Buddhist. Sweden had a site on it. Different causes can have their own site. I meant to visit the place that had the Van Gogh scenes.

Fly

I loved flying on it myself. It does get you places easier. It is not that easy to walk different places there but you can of course.

Meet Different People

If you want to meet other people and from different countries this is the place. You need to be open to different ideas. You then again do not really know who is there at all. If someone wants to have romance it is possible to have that with the avatars. Who knows what will happen with this idea. If you cannot see someone for instance because they are away you can connect still on Second Life.

Play Games

There are several games that you can play there. You can go to a Medieval land and get in a battle or just watch. You can go to see different environments where it can be dangerous and like a video game. People can make their own games. You can also be a furry or animal avatar instead of a human or whatever you would like.

Make Money

You can make a little bit of money by looking around Second Life. Different places will pay you to dance or to take surveys there. There are the survey trees etc. but it is a very little bit of money. You can also make more money by selling your creations online for instance fashion or houses. If you buy land you can rent it out yourself and other things but it can be a hassle you need to pay for it.




Final Thoughts

I think it is a terrible lot of fun but I would warn people not to expect too much. You get what you put into it. It goes by what you look for. I had a hard time with their customer service to stop them from automatically charging me for another year.
