Choose from herbal, caffeine-free, scented or regular loose tea with which to begin the brewing process. Loose tea allows more flavor as well as nutritional and health benefits to be released.
Read the label on the tea canister for the amount of tea that should be used. For example, use one teaspoon of black tea per cup, two to three teaspoons of green tea and as much as three to four teaspoons of white tea. Place the tea directly into a strainer or infuser when brewing in a teacup.
Begin the "agony of the leaves" and continue the brewing process by pouring hot or boiling water over the tea leaves until they are thoroughly covered. Let steep for the amount of time indicated on the tea package, which could vary from two to five minutes.
After steeping, remove the infuser or tea strainer from the cup and set aside on a saucer or drip cup. Loose tea can be used more than once up to as many as three times before discarding.
Tea complements include sugar, lemon wedges, milk, honey, simple syrup and related items. Sweeten the tea to taste, pick up the teacup by the handle, take a sip, release a sigh of pure delight and enjoy.
I'll take some please! LOL! Great list!
