Summer is quickly approaching and we all want our yards to look pretty. What better way than to plant a few annuals and give your yard a burst of color? Here are my top five picks for annuals.
Petunias come in lots of different colors and are a great choice for a small flower bed or to use as a trim along a larger flower bed. You can expect lots of blooms and re-blooming from petunias throughout the season.
Impatiens is one of my mother's favorite flowers. They are super easy to grow and can tolerate full sun, making them a super good choice for the deep south. They are also available in lots of colors.
Alyssums start to bloom early in the Spring and have some additional benefits other than providing color to your yard. They give off a sweet scent and also attract butterflies. This is a great choice for a butterfly garden or any flower bed.
Pansies are another pretty little flower that adds a lot of color to a flower bed. They are also an early bloomer and will take you from spring to summer.
The Larkspur belongs to the buttercup family and come in white and different shades of violet. They are beautiful flowers and one that is often skipped over for a more common flower.
