Introduction:Kids love snow, so it makes sense that they would try anything to see those fluffy white flakes float down from the sky. Here are the top five snow making rituals I've learned from my kids.
If anyone knows the history behind this one I'd love to hear it. According to my daughter you must lick a teaspoon and tuck it under your pillow before you go to sleep and you will wake up to a yard full of snow.
Before you go to sleep drop one ice cube in the toilet bowl for every inch of snow you'd like to find on the ground in the morning. My kids usually just dump the whole ice tray in.
This is the silliest snow making ritual I've ever heard. Maybe there's an association between the marshmallow, which you sometimes find in hot chocolate when you're drinking it while trying to keep warm in the winter? Or, maybe the kids just wanted to eat marshmallows.
Okay I have to admit, I do remember doing this as a kid. My daughter says it works better if your pajamas have snowflakes or penguins or something wintery on them.
All the children in the house must happily skip around in a circle with their arms linked together while singing this song in their cutest Chipmunk voice.
Common sense will tell you that this doesn't work every time but the kids sure do have fun trying these snow making techniques.
