You probably know people that you can do one of these helpful deeds for either now or in the near future.
There are times when pet owners cannot take their animals to the veterinarian for neutering. This is where you might be able to help them find inexpensive spay and neuter clinics so unwanted animals are not born and end up homeless or in shelters. A person who does this helpful deed helps aninmals and people too.
Getting the mail might be difficult for a person as soon as they come home from the hospital. Ask the person if you can retrieve their mail for them until they are able to do that for themselves. This gives you a moment to check with them and see how they are progressing.
When someone you know is not feeling well enough to take their garbage from the house to the yard disposal, you can offer to help. Then you can ask if you can help by rolling the garbage out to the curb on garbage day until they feel well enough to take on that job themselves.
When you know someone has not been seen out and about, call that person and see where you can help them. It just might be a telephone call that helps them know someone cares. It is amazing how a little thing like this can be such a helpful deed. While you are talking to them on the phone ask if you can check on them in a day or two and follow up with that call too.
When you go to the grocery store, ask your friends and neighbors if they want to come along when you plan a super market trip. If they are not well enough to go, ask if there is something they need that you can get for them until they feel better.
It is when we all do little things for others that the Lord smiles at these simple tasks.
Good list.
This is such a nice list!
