What are the phrases that we say everyday? The ones where our friends and family know exactly what kind of a day we're having by the trademark phrases that we unwittingly utter? I would like to think I use these favorite phrases much less than I do, but at the risk of sounding like a broken record, here they are in printed format.
"Life is good" says it all. Even when a specific moment is not so desirable, if I reflect for even a second, I know that life is indeed good.
I could just as easily say "no problem" and sometimes do, but somehow "no worries" slips out without me even thinking about it. I still type "np" in my instant messages though. Would anyone know what I meant if I typed "nw"?
"Not acceptable" is the phrase I reserve for the young people in the household when they are doing or more often, not doing, what they are expected to be doing.
I know; I need to stop saying this but when life is confusing, people are acting crazy and I can't process my environment, asking "seriously?" is the only thing I can come up with.
When things do not go well or as planned, "big bummer" is usually my phrase of choice. It's G-rated and gets right to the point.
Great list.
Great list.I learned from your sharing here. Thank you.
I'm not so good at that IM shorthand, but nw.
"Big Bummer" is my favorite; although I tend to shorten it and say, "Bummer" instead. H5
