There is nothing more rewarding than being a parent, but there are times that can be extremely frustrating. Here are my top 5 frustrating times of being a parent.
Bedtime is always a horror! I remember when they were babies in cribs, and bedtime was a dream. Now a days, it's crazy. We have a big long routine, and by the end of the routine I'm done! I dont' want to be bothered, and that's when the "I have to go to the bathroom, I want a new pajama, I'm cold, I'm hot, I need medicine, I'm coughing, or the I'm just not tired routines start. ugh!
It's the worst thing in the world when you have yoru kids fighting, but it's even worse when they are fighting each other. You know, Jimmy hit me! You want to yell at them both! Don't be a tattle tale! Jimmy stop hitting your sister!
There is nothing more frustrating when you have a teacher tell you that your child is out of control, or not doing what they are supposed to be doing. Whether they are starting fights, being the class clown, or not doing their work. It can be so frustrating when you feel you have to answer to their teachers.
Ever get a child who says something they shouldn't? I was in the bathroom the other day, and the mother was scolding the girl for her attitude. The mother's friend walked in who must have been in charge of the birthday party. The young girl had been crying. The other mother said what's the matter? The girls mother tried to interject and said "It's best you don't talk now, your very tired and you will say something you shouldn't." The girl said.. "I was just going to tell you that it's not fair that you invited my brother to your party and not me." The woman and the mother of the girl jumped in to say. The birthday girl is 5 like your brother, so we only invited 5 year olds. She said. That is not true! You invited a 12 year old who is your cousin. The mother of the girl apologized up and down to the other woman, and grabbed her daughter out of the bathroom. She was angry, but I overheard her say to her daughter, You just REALLY embarrassed me! Kids say the craziest things!
When one of my children are sick or hurt, I just want to take their pain from them and go through it for them. I always feel so awful when they are going through things. There is nothing worse as a mother than watching your child being in any kind of pain.
Parenting is a tough job, and people say that they are underpaid for their work as moms. I dont' agree. There isn't enough money in this world
