Every baseball fan knows Cooperstown, New York is the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
This is a great family activity for all ages and not just for baseball fans either. While you are in town make sure to check out the Otesag Hotel & Resort, which was investigated by the SyFy Channels Ghost Hunters!
Cooperstown is only abount 20 minutes away from Oneonta and is easily located by following the signs on State Highway 28.
The conservatory is a wild experience is the home of many tropical birds and butterflys and other types of tropical creatures and insects.
Admission is only around 10 bucks, but a visit here may not be the best idea for small children and/or the typical scaredy cat. Often the birds in the conservatory take a quick sweep of the area to keep the rowdy visitors in check.
Take a walk down historic Main Street and you will eventually come to a small dislay in a window area. Inside the doors of this shop is the Oneonta Historical Society, holding the history of the City of the Hills.
Once a bustling commercial center and entertainment hot spot in the Twenties, Oneonta has a rich and intriguing story behind it.
The Blues Train operates in the summer months and through the dry months of the fall as well.
Located right outside of the town of Oneonta in Milford, NY, the Blues Train offers a great adult 21+ experience.
Take a ride down the railroad in the train as you listen to some great live blues bands and enjoy cocktails and refreshments from the bar car.
Interskate 88 is another activity for all ages, especially if you like to roller skate. They have a very affordable admission and skate rental package as well. If skating is not your thing, there is also plenty of video games and a snack bar as well!
