Depends on the dog of course but most dogs have powerful tails, so if you have low objects such as lamps and picture frames then move them to a higher place. Pick up any objects that can fall victim to a chew toy for your pup.
Puppies are like babies, they wake up every few hours. They usually want to be walked to relieve themselves of waste and toxins. They need attention as they usually wake up hyper and need to be played with in order to make them fall back asleep. If you plan on getting a puppy its usually best to get it with someone else so you can take turns waking up in the middle of the night.
Crate training is very effective. It helps puppies learn to calm down especially at night. They wont be prone to play with the other animals you may have. Also helps them be more gentle with kids.
Puppies have very excellent puppy eyes that can suck you in to giving in to their every demand. You got to be firm yet loving. It is okay to spoil your pride and joy every once in awhile but if you catch them going to the bathroom or chewing on something in the house then discipline them and tell them that is not okay to do those things.
The sooner you train your pup the better. Older dogs can be stubborn to train. You may be so overjoyed with your little bundle of joy but do not wait to train. You can train them any way that you feel is best for you but do it as soon as you can.
Good puppy training points. It is so important to begin training early and to be consistent.
