There is hardly a more fragrant flower that grows. Hyacinths come in a wide variety of colors; blue, purple, white, pink and more. Giant Hyacinth grows up to 12 inches tall, making them perfect for the middle of the border.
Cluster Daffodils in groups of 10 or more for a stunning affect. Their bright yellows, oranges and whites perk up any border. Most Daffodils have a moderately heavy scent. Standing at a tall 10 to 14 inches, they command a spot in the rear of the border.
Stately tulips are real show-stoppers when amassed in borders. Whether brilliant reds or creamy apricot they always make a statement. Tulips are lightly fragrant and grow up to 2 feet tall. Give them a spot in the back of the border.
With smaller and more delicate flowers than daffodils, paper white narcissus gives off a strong, sweet fragrance on warm spring days. Place them in the middle of a border, as they grow up to 18 inches tall.
The earliest flowers to appear in spring, crocus give off a lovely, sweet scent. They are often the first meal for bees waking up from a long winter. Plant them in mass in the front of your borders. They grow up to 6 inches in height, and come in yellow, white, red and purple.
Select your flowering bulbs in the fall. Follow planting, spacing and depth instructions carefully. Add fertilizer formulated specially for bulbs when you plant.
