I've struggled with my weight for most of my life, and I'm tired of it. It's time for me to get serious, and make big changes in my life. I've got to stop blaming my metabolism, and my genetics (though neither do me any favors) and just get down to the nitty gritty of what I need to do - eat right and exercise. Here are some of the things that have held me back in the past.
I really really do. Really. I'm never going to be one of those people who loves working out. People say "find something you love" and stick with it. That's a problem for me...as I will explain in Step #2.
I don't love the treadmill, or the stairmaster, or yoga, or running, or swimming, or lifting weights. I love butter. Butter and I need to break up if I'm going to get serious about losing weight. Sigh.
I have a husband, two kids, a job and a dog, and they all seem to constantly pull me in different directions. I plan on going to the gym, then blow it off to make dinner for my family, or drive one of my kids somewhere. I put myself at the bottom of the priority list, and it's not working for me.
Come on, let's face it. Brownies taste better than broccoli. I have a sweet tooth. Yes, I've tried all the "diet" desserts out there, and they just aren't the same as sinking your teeth into a piece of chocolate fudge cake, or an ice cream sundae.
Look ^! See up there! I made four excuses right there!! And if I continue to do so, I will never tackle my weight problem. So from here on out, no excuses, no butter, and no brownies. Success here I come!
We all do this. Fun list.
All valid reasons.
Thanks! It's not easy!! I need a butter intervention. LOL.
lol. I have the same problem with the same reasons.
