I purchased the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H55 digital camera. I love it. Sony is a very reputable company and makes good quality cameras. The Sony Cyber-shot camera is one of those good quality cameras that I am sure you will love. To me, quality is a very important factor when looking for a camera.

If you want a good picture and want to make sure that everyone is smiling, than this is a camera you would want to get. This Sony Cyber-shot camera lets you know if everyone is smiling before you take the picture.

Easy

The Sony Cyber-shot camera is very easy to use. You won't have any problems using this digital camera at all. The dials, readings, and different functions are easy enough for anyone to understand. This camera zooms in and out very easily. It is very easy to set the clock and date on this camera so that you know exactly when the pictures were taken if you want. This camera is very easy to take pictures of all different scenery and is easy to view the pictures as well. If there is a picture that you don't like, it is easy to delete the pictures.

Functions

This Sony Cyber-shot camera is loaded with quite a few different functions that are easy to use. This camera is a digital camera that has ten times the optical zoom. It is very easy to zoom in and out with just one dial. This Sony Cyber-shot camera has 14.1 mega pixels, has a 25 mm wide angle lens, and a 3.0" LCD screen. Some of the functions that this Sony camera has includes a display on how much battery life is left so that you know when you need to charge up the battery and how much time you have left on the battery life. This camera also let you know that the battery life is running out by giving you a low battery warning. One of the functions on this camera also lets you know the size of the image. You also may select different sceneries depending on what type of photo you want and if you are inside, outside, in low light, sunlight, foggy weather, and so on. There is an easy mode designed for easy shooting. The mode dial on the the right side of the camera give you the options of intelligent auto adjustment, movie mode, sweep panorama, manual exposure shooting, and auto programs. The panorama function is very easy to use and is very cool. You can take a picture of the whole room or all of your company, the whole yard outside, and more much using the panorama mode and taking several pictures in one. The display of the camera has the scene recognition icon as listed above, white balance, metering mode, vibration warning, This camera lets you know how many images you have on the camera and how many you have left. This camera also puts each pictures in different folders on the camera according to the date that you picture was taken when you go in and view the pictures on the camera. There is a red-eye reduction mode as well. I love the self timer mode on this camera. It allows everyone to get in the picture at the same time when the self timer is set. This camera has a face detection on it when you are ready to take a picture as well.

Movies

This Sony Cyber-shot camera also takes excellent movies. There is an optical steady shot active mode for movies. It is very easy to take movies using this camera. Just turn the dial on the top right side of the camera to the "M" for movies. Depending on the of the memory card will give you the amount of time that you can record a movie. You can record a continuous movie for approximately 29 minutes if you have a larger memory card size.

Final Thoughts

This Sony Cyber-shot camera is perfect for so many different reasons. I bought this camera at Best Buy at regular price for just $229.99. This camera included a battery and battery charger, as well as a one year warranty. You can purchase an additional warranty which pays for a brand new battery and more if you choose to. I just took the basic warranty out since this is a good camera. This Cyber-shot camera has excellent reviews on it. Be sure to look at the reviews and see what you think. This Sony Cyber Shot sounds great and you have described it well. I'm still using the Kodak digital I bought for way too much money several years ago. The newer cameras are so compact these days. It probably is time to get a good one.

I started buying Sony Cyber shot cameras when they first came on the market and started at $500. I'm on my third as I just love the little sucker. I did complement my camera family though with a Nikon D5000 - amazing camera too.
