In modern times, it's much easier to have everything we need already without having to do anything, yet it's something people take for granted more than ever.
Whether for a relaxing and conveniently quick shower, or for a long, hot bath, or even just to drink whenever you get so thirsty that your throat is dry, running water is a modern luxury that I, for one, love. It can get hot so fast without even having to boil it, and we don't have to be nearby a river to have a water supply.
They are so comfortable and soft. I, for one, love soft things. I don't know if I would be able to sleep without a blanket over me. Sometimes, although it actually is kind of painful, I think about what it would be like without blankets. I can barely even think about it! It's an awful picture.
Imagine a time when you not only had to go out and gather your own food, not to mention hunt the animals using whatever crude means may be lying around, but there was no way to prepare it except to eat it almost just as it was. With dishes, thankfully, we can cook, and combine all kinds of foods together in complimentary, good-tasting ways.
I'm so glad there is this really easy way of preserving food now, and we don't have to salt smoke our meat or preserve it by some other means, and throw it in a cellar or outside in some other sort of containment thing. Refrigerators make it really easy to keep food for a reasonable time without having to go through a whole, big process.
Just think of how little one could do without a computer and access to the Internet. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have it, for one, but maybe you all have way more friends than me. I certainly spend more time with my computer than with any other human beings. Is that...bad...?
I have to say that I'm grateful for all the things we have today, even though nobody else is. Or so it seems. We certainly have enough.
This is a great list!
I enjoyed reading your true list of luxuries that I have a commanding need for in my life. I am happy I have these. h5 for presentation and correctness.
