I am completely incapable of writing the following top five lists. For those of you who enjoy linear algebra and streaking, or for those of you who hate domesticated animals, here are some ideas for lists you could write.
I don't know anything about linear algebra other than: 1. It's insanely difficult and 2. They have calculators who can do it so we never need to learn how. I would have a hard time finding three more facts about it that would be even remotely interesting to the general public.
I can think of exactly zero reasons why anyone SHOULD do this, although there are plenty of reasons why people actually do end up doing this. It's cold, it's unhealthy, it's awkward, and it's COLD.
I love animals, especially any animal that's domesticated. I wouldn't want to advise anyone to avoid getting a pet--unless the reasons is they wouldn't treat it with love. Pets are great!
College is full of students pursuing dead-end majors because "they're interesting." Before I sound too judgmental, I'll go ahead and admit that I'm one of them. But I think urban studies is quite possibly the most useless major for getting a job that ever existed...Especially now that there's some physicist out there who claims to have "solved" the mystery of cities. Never mind that he just used econometrics (and not anything related to physics) and some simple statistics. Anyway, he's single-handedly snatched ALL potential jobs away from thousands of urban studies majors who will now end up living in boxes after they graduate. Thanks, Geoffrey West. Thanks.
I only know one way: "Mommyyyyy help me figure this out!!!" And when she gets tired of that in the future, I'll run crying to H&R Block.
If anyone is an accountant who wants to help me figure out how to pay tax as an independent contractor, please let me know! I'm only half kidding. If anyone wants to read about the smug physicist-turned-common-sense-economist, you can read an article about him below. He seems quite pleased with himself.
H5 on this list
Great list and I have been a tax preparer at HR Block for 6 years if you ever need help ;)
This was a very unusual writing article of things you would not write about. I agree with them all. See you at the coffee shop!
