Introduction:Years ago it was $1 stocking stuffers, however it is harder to find those anymore and when you do, most of the children who hang stockings don't want that $1 item. Here is a good list of $5 stocking stuffers sure to please.
Not everyone likes Mc Donalds, so find out if your stocking wearer likes the Burger King instead. Then put in the food certificate for that fast food drive in they like to eat at as a gift from you. Most of these places will give you gift certificates in the amounts you ask for. If for any reason your Christmas list person does not like any fast food there is another way you can tackle this. Write out your own five dollar coupon for them to use toward a meal at their favorite place. Make it, decorate it and place it in the stocking for Christmas giving.
A favorite pair of warm winter socks will be a great stocking stuffer for your son, daughter or spouse. Pick the favorite color and style and put them in the stocking for Christmas giving this year.If you run into a sale you might just get more than one pair and then double the smiles on the faces of the recievers of the new pairs of socks. This is a welcomed gift for girls and boys that they can enjoy all year long in the months ahead.Pay attention to the favorite outfits the wearer wears and match the socks you give.
Nothing is more appreciated than good old hard cash. Put a $5 dollar bill in the stocking and see the eyes bug out when they see the bill in their stocking. You can put it in an envelope so they won't know what it is to make it more of a secret stocking stuffer. If you want to make it different, you can put the five dollars in single bills, silver dollars, quarters or any other way you want to give your gift. If you are able to find two dollar bills that might be something to encourage the person to save the two $2 bills and spend only the $1.
Go to the place where the person likes to shop that you will be giving the stocking stuffer to. Ask the merchant or owner for a $5 dollar gift card. If they don't have them made out they can easily write one for you right then. Make sure you select a gift card that the receiver will get the full amount and not be charged a fee when it is redeemed. If there is a fee, you might want to extend the gift card to cover the fee as well. If the favorite store does not give $5 gift cards, make your own and go with the person and pay that $5 when they go to the cashier.
Get one or more scratch tickets for the person who has their stocking hung by the chimney for Christmas time. Lottery,or other local chance tickets are available in all denominations. If the receiver is below age to be the winner, the guardian can cash it in for them.Go to local Christmas Bazzars and buy one or more raffle tickets for five dollars and then put those raffle tickets in the stocking for Christmas. Put a bow on it or place it in an envelope to draw attention to it, so it is noticed in the stocking at the Christmas giving time.
