What if you could stress less and still get things done? What if you had proven strategies to streamline your schedule, so that your to-do list doesn't make migraines? Are you ready to take back your life? Great! Let's get stuff done.
Take advantage of your rhythm flow. If you're a morning person, take care of important stuff, like paying bills while all your gray cells are churning. Schedule repetitive tasks, like laundry during lower-energy times. And vice versa.
Clip coupons while you talk to your mother-in-law on the telephone; unload dishwasher while waiting for the pasta water to boil; fold laundry while you watch TV. Many little jobs don't require your full attention.
Just because you've always done it that way doesn't save time or stress. Plan menus weekly. Instead of taking 15 minutes to wrap a birthday gift, get a gift bag. After reading, keep library books in the trunk of your car and drop them off when you're driving in that direction.
Don't set unrealistic expectations. Write must-do tasks for each day, but resist adding things like "spring clean" in December. Of course, plans don't always work out, due to distractions and emergencies. Just say, "Oh well!" and take deep breaths. Try to accomplish the most vital stuff and move everything else to the next day's to-do list.
If you estimate a task will take 30 minutes, allow 40 minutes. The 10 minute buffer will help eliminate stress. If you finish on-time, use the buffer time to flip through a magazine or enjoy a cup of tea.
Our time savvy ways to get stuff done will help you stop stressing and start saving vital energy for more rewarding activities.
Now that is wisdom! Congrats. :)
This is a fantastic list - I do many of these already, but I also learned some new ones! I bought a telephone head set specifically so I could have two hands free to multi task while I made telephone calls! Congrats on the front page spot!!!
Oh Goody I get to award you another h5 and congratulate you on the front page spot too!
Just reading your list made me more efficient and smarter.
