OK, so earlier this year I wrote an article on why Hillary will NOT run for president. And there's a lot of compelling reasons to think she won't,including her saying so. Buuut there are more than a few Democrats who might just like to see her have a change of heart.
Bin Laden is dead and Khadafy out of power - two foreign policy feathers in the cap of Pres. Obama. However, most elections turn on the economy - which seems to be stuck in recession and high unemployment mode. As Secretary of State, Hillary escapes the taint of bad domestic news.
Let's face it, it's a pretty weak GOP field with the possible exception of Willard "Mitt" Romney- and HE will have to somehow get around the Tea Party faction which largely distrusts him. Still, if the economy continues to sour and Obama's poll numbers continue to slide, it greatly improves the odds of victory by one of this motley crew. Look for a visit to the president by a committee of party elders.
Buy into Hillary and you get Bill FREE- with all his experience; beloved all over the world and the steward of the booming economy of the '90s.
Even most Clinton detractors have to grudgingly admit she has conducted herself admirably in the job of Secretary of State, and before as New York US senator.
Recent declarations that she wants to resume her private life notwithstanding, Hillary has always aspired to be president. This could be her best and last chance.
I would love to see Hillary to try to run again. With the economy with the way it is she actually might pull it off.
Interesting composition. I read your other earlier post as well and digested the contents. I will be sticking to my Ron Paul candidate. His stand has never wavered and I like almost all of what he stands for, which I cannot say for Hillary. I don't believe she will run, but if she does and wins, which I doubt she is able to pull off, getting Bill's experience would certainly be a bonus. I fully enjoy your political insight so always a h5 even if I don't agree with the contents, I admire your material and your great presentation.
