Help your child create a special Valentine's Day gift for Daddy.
Cut a small heart out of red card stock paper. Have your child write a message such as "I Love Daddy" on the heart. Glue a safety pin to the back of the heart. Dad can wear this on his tie or shirt to remind him of his little sweetie all day long.
A picture of Daddy with his child can be framed, printed on a coffee mug or uploaded to a digital keychain. Use a heart shaped picture frame, a Valentine's themed coffee mug or a red digital keychain in honor of this holiday.
Have your child write a love poem to her Daddy. If your child is too young to grasp the rhyming concept, you can help her with the verse. Instead of rhyming, you can ask your child to fill in the blanks to sentences such as, "I love my Daddy because ______." Have your child use crayon or marker to write these words of love on heart shaped construction paper.
Help your child bake a heart shaped cake, sugar cookies or cupcakes. You may do the majority of the baking, but when it is time for frosting and decorating, let your child take charge. Any resulting imperfections will make this treat extra sweet.
Record your child sending a message of love to Daddy for Valentine's Day. You can play it for him when he is at home or, if he will be at work, send him a viral video to watch from his office computer or cell phone.
Happy Valentine's Day!
