A Holistic lifestyle encompasses mind, body, and spirit. Your body doesn't have to fit the latest social expectation. Love your body at any age, shape, and size. Show your love by smiling, moving, and feeding it nutritious food. Pamper your body with those special things that make you feel alive and blessed.
You can't feed your body junk food and expect to look in the mirror and see a glowing beauty. Eat whole foods instead of processed. Make sure that the majority of what you eat is raw. Raw food contains precious enzymes that you need to assimilate the nutrients well. Vegetables and fruit in their raw state also are nutrient dense and provide your body with almost everything it needs to be healthy.
Move your body with grace. Practice yoga, pilates, and other forms of stretching that preserve its agility and keeps you healthy by keeping your blood moving too. Walking is a gracious form of exercise that shows your body how much you value it.
Keeping your life so chaotic that you can't sleep or don't have time to sleep won't keep it in holistic health. Make sure to schedule some quiet time before bed to wind down your mind. Playing soft music or meditation and prayer can help you transition to sleep time. Giving your body adequate rest to recharge and revitalize you makes all the difference.
Use natural organic products to take care of your body. There are numerous companies that manufacture organic hair, skin, and nail products that don't contain the toxins that other body products do. Be good to your body by using these products as much as possible to be healthy.
Embrace time by not having too much in your schedule and being realistic about turning back the clock. Aging gracefully is much healthier and more attractive than struggling to look 20 when you are 60. Take the stress out of your life by making time for the important things that feed your spirit and enjoy life. Your body will thank you.
