I love my veggies, but I won't pay $3.99 for a 3-pound bag of onions. That's too high a price for me. However, when it comes to chocolate, I don't bat an eyelash when I fork over $ 4.00 for a gourmet candy bar.
A few years ago, every so often I would go to the candy store and buy a bag of assorted chocolates. At the time, I was sharing an apartment with two roommates who each had a big sweet tooth. With that thought in mind, when I came home with my candy I would tell my roommates I was going to take a bath. Then I would go lay in the tub and eat my chocolates-every last one of them.
When I'm having a really bad day at work, my co-worker will go buy me something chocolate-without me asking her to. Her 5-year-old daughter calls me her chocolate cupcake friend.
I always make sure I have something chocolate on hand at all times. Chocolate pudding, a can of cocoa or a freezer full of chocolate muffins, it doesn't much matter as long as it's chocolate. I have my favorites, but any chocolate will do in a pinch. If I get a chocolate craving at 3AM or in the middle of a blizzard, I want it to be there.
I would feel so deprived without my chocolate. When my well-meaning nonchocoholic friends ask me if I ever think of giving it up. I reply, "Only in my nightmares."
Tee hee ... yep, a chocoholic for sure! H5!
I am a true chocoholic. LOL I hide mine so nobody can steal them, and if they do, I track them down! H5
