Things to Look For 2011 NCAA Tournament

Introduction:

In college basketball, NCAA Tournament started on mid-March. March Madness is going be crazy this year. All of sixty-nine team has chance to win a national championship. I'm looking forward a lot of thing in 2011 NCAA Tournament.

Upset

NCAA Tournament can't be exciting without upset. It happened when a low seed team defeated high seed team. For example, last year, Northern Iowa upset Vanderbilt and Kansas from the NCAA tournament. Most NCAA tournament's upset occurred in the first or second round. In statistics, no, sixteen lowest seed team had beaten a one highest seed team.

Cinderella Teams

Cinderella team is the one lowest seed or unexpected team. They are also the underdog in NCAA tournament. I like Cinderella team because they have a no quit attitude. For example, George Mason, who was a Cinderella team, made it to the Final Four in 2006. Last Year, for instance, Butler went to national championship against Duke. I can see Butler to be Cinderella team again.

Expand Tournament

The NCAA tournament was allowing sixty-five to enter the bracket. However, NCAA committees decided to expand the tournament to sixty-nine team. The teams, who were last for four in bracket, play each other in first-four round. Almost every year, the Big East Conference has the most team in the NCAA Tournament. Big East Conference has eleven teams to the tournament this year. I'm expecting that conference go far in the NCAA tournament this year.

Buzzer-Beater

NCAA Tournament can't be exciting without buzzer-beater. Every year, a game is decided on last shot. I had seen amazing buzzer beater shot like 1991 Duke's buzzer-beater, 1992 Georgia Tech's buzzer-beater, and 2008 Western Kentucky's buzzer-beater. I hate to see losing team's face after buzzer beater shot because their dream is crush. I hope to get see a lot of buzzer-beater shot in 2011 NCAA tournament.

National Championship

The Final Four is very exciting because they are one close to the national championship. The teams, who are number one seed, win the national championship every year. The NCAA tournament never has four number one seed in the Final Four. I believed that it can happen this year. Last spring, Duke won the national championship. I think that Ohio State will win the national championship because they are balanced team.
