ingredients:
ground beef, cooked until crumbly (and you can drain the leftover grease if you want)
seasonings - these can vary: there are packets you can buy specifically for taco in the grocery store, such as Old El Paso taco seasoning mix
seasonings - or you can make your own - spices you can use, for e.g. garlic salt, cayenne pepper, paprika, onion salt
stir beef and seasoning mixture thoroughly
warm up soft tortillas, or hard taco shells in oven; you can put soft tortillas in microwave for 30 seconds if you wish as well;
salsa - you can buy store-bought salsa, it comes in mild, medium or hot; there's also other kinds beside regular salsa such as mango pineapple or other varieties.
you can add salsa to your beef taco once its done as a topping
other toppings can include:
- guacamole - which is made from avocadoes - very healthy!
- sour cream
- chopped tomatoes
- chopped onions
- shredded cheese
For the cheese you can use whichever cheese you wish, marbled cheddar, which I usually use, mild cheddar, medium, aged cheddar; you can use mozarella, shredded, provolone, or Monterrey Jack; I find cheddar works well with tacos;
You can add a side dish of Mexican rice if desired. Its a great meal that will satisfy alot of hungry folks!
