Whoa, that's a big order, especially when there are so many funny ones around..........
As a stand-up, he was incomparable. I never recall him using profanity, I guess this is why the whole family would sit mesmerized and holding their stomachs while he spilled out stories of his childhood and the things he did to his siblings, sort of like our family did. He was also quite hilarious and unique as a comedian on his show. But to see him in the movie "UpTown Saturday Night" is a total hoot.
You have to say that he definitely used the language and quite prolifically on his albums. Some of us could stand his dialogue during stand-up. But his show "Sanford and Son" without the profanity I still yelped.
Oh, his dry form of humor was a treat for me. When he did the Hippy Dippy Weather Report, how could you sit through it. I loved this man.
Mr. Hart is sort of new, even to me and quite funny. He has a brand of humor that strike just like it should: a comic does funny things, a comedian says things funny. He is a true comedian. Mr. Hart says things that you can conceive, but don't really want to, with his hilarious twists and turns.
This man used to appear on the Dean Martin show. He was tall, gray haired, handsome and very funny. Can you be a comic comedian? If so, he was one. He always played a drunk and the way he would slur and confuse words and answers to questions, just makes me want to buy one of his albums if there are any to be found. There's a real standout segment when he plays a Drunk Airline Pilot on the Dean Martin show. Mr. Martin can hardly contain himself.
I just love Bill Cosby. He's iconic and will always be the funniest comedian in Hollywood!
My number one is Bill Cosby too. I think he was just the right amount of everything rolled into one great man.Your list is a good top 5 one.
