Giving to help the poor comforts the soul. Try to remember to do the things on my list, and the world will be a lot less unhappy, and will be healthier minded, with healthier bodies as well.

Give to the Salvation Army

Most communities have Salvation Army stores. People can give their old clothes to this great place. Then, people searching for cheaper clothes can find just what they are looking for. Good clothes don't have to cost a lot of money.

Give to Churches In Your Community

Most churches take donations to help unfortunate people get some much needed supplies. There are also many charities to give to as well. Most people don't like to beg for money. Just find out if you know some of the people that have been low on money. Then, follow through with step 3

Phone Family and Friends About Updates

People, who want to help other people who are poor, and need a helping hand, could call family and friends about updates on the people of their communities that need money the most. Where there's more than one helping hand, there will be no hungry people, with starving faces, and hearts filled with emptiness.

Give to Food Pantries

Most towns have a food pantry that helps people with lower income be able to get some free food. These people shouldn't feel bad to ask for help. If everyone just gave a little, the world would be covered in food, and nobody would ever be hungry.

Make Tin Cans, or Cups Clink

People can usually find people from time to time, standing on a corner holding a tin cup, or can, hoping someone will give them a little money, to help them out. People who do this are desperate. Think about how you would want to be treated. Then, if you have a few extra dollars, drop it into their cup, or can. You may have just helped them get something good to eat. You may have better yet helped them stay someplace that has a nice warm bed.

The world needs you to lend a helping hand. What are you waiting for? God bless all who reach out their hands, and help the poor people of this world.
