Everyone has their own reasons to keep writing so see if yours agrees with mine.
Fingers can get used to doing dishes, cleaning house and paying bills, but those are not as much fun as typing out a new and different list for someone to read. Getting and keeping the fingers typing is great exercise to keep the digits nimble.Even if the typing is not very fast, it is a lot of fun when the list is finished. Many times as I am writing I get away from the computer. I think that is healthy. I don't compute when I talk on the phone, I walk around. This way the person gets my undivided attention and then I go back to writing when I am finished with my conversation.
There is always several ideas floating around in my brain to turn into a list or an article. By thinking and putting those thoughts in a list on the Internet,I know they are original since they just came out of my head and went to the website.Working the brain allows a person such a great feeling when they know they have created something to put on the world wide web for others to read that might help someone. That material is not on the Internet the way I present it since I created it. Using the brain is always fun from the beginning to the publishing of that material.
My cache is never empty. Since I have been writing on this listmyfive website I always have at least 10 articles waiting that I have written and are waiting for some fine tuning. As soon as I pick one, put some finishing touches to it, I press the publish button and there goes another added to my account. As I type this, my account is nearing one thousand lists created by me and published. That thousand will be quite a milestone.I need to remind anyone who is reading this that I began just like everyone else with the first published list and grew from there. Someday I will be reading about your reasons why you keep writing.
A writer should be a goal setter so the accomplishments can be reviewed to find out where that freelance person has been and how far they have come. My goal for the month of February has been to reach 200 accolades. I achieved that two days ago. The next goal is attaining the Thousand list mark before the end of February. I expect to meet that goal. Now a little secret is that I set reasonable goals so I can make them. What good would it be for me to say I will write 400 lists a month, when that would not be possible.
Writing is fun. It is never a chore. I look forward to meeting my cyber friends online, reading their material and seeing what they have to say about my lists and articles published.Writing is an expression of who I am. It is easily seen what are important issues to me personally just by reading my publications. If you spend time with my publications you will actually get to know me quite well. The connection I have made with some cyber friends on the Internet is so valuable to me. I would not hurt them or let them get hurt if I could help it. I think most writers feel that way about each other. If they don't-they are missing a lot.
Did you notice money was not mentioned once? I just realized that after finishing the list. Funny isn't it? No, not really, is it?
Great reasons to keep writing. H5
Great list on reasons to keep writing.
Congrats AGAIN on the front page. You rock!
Congratulations on the front page. I am still writing, but have had a contract writing real estate articles. I have another 60 titles to go in the next 2 months. You will see more of me when that wraps up.
Congrats, again! I write because you just can't simply watch TV.
I agree with all of your reasons to keep writing. The more you write, the more you want to write. I like your suggestion about the cache. I will work to build one of my own. H5
Awesome reasons to keep writing! Thanks
Great list of advice and tips!
Well here you are - right on the front page again, where you deserve to be! HI5
Coming back to congratulate you for once again being on the front page.
These are great reasons and they do not all include money.
I write because I breathe. I breathe because I write. Writers must write. Congrats on achieving your personal milestones. You always write such original lists, in your unique voice. HI5
Great list of reason to keep writing. I certainly love to read all your list. Keep up the good work. I love how you set little goals.
I write to help keep my brain functioning and conditioned. Writing does make you think. I enjoy writing instead of sitting in front of the tv. I have learned so much by writing with all my researching and with reading what others have researched as well as other people's opinions. Great job on this list.
