Well...you just as well learn to accept it. Some of these are probably just not going to change.
That hand me down couch that my roommate's friend used to crash on sometimes was so comfortable. Doesn't it seem that the uglier the couch, the more comfortable it is? I'm pretty sure there is some statistical analysis for this. Of course as I get older, I don't want people crashing on my sofa...so I'll go with something that looks really nice!
As I get older, I've noticed that we argue less about housework and money. By now, we've kind of worked through most of that. The real problems are dealing with giving up some of that prime real estate that we sleep on. Someone has to hog the bed or hog the covers!! (by the way...nice of me to not point fingers or name anyone).
A sink has hidden powers to attract spoons. I don't know why it is...I just know that when I turn on the faucet, water hits the spoon and makes a mess. The good news is that this really only happens about 80% of the time.
Where do all those missing socks go? How long are we supposed to keep the sock that no longer has a mate waiting for the other to show up? And perhaps the most important question...how come the ugly or worn socks never come up missing? It's just not fair.
Remember before the Internet when we had to read a recipe out of a book? The cooking time was too short and there was no place for people to comment; "simmer for two hours" was always on the second page and we had to try to explain why dinner was late. Thankfully, we've come a long way on this one...but I do still use Betty Crocker once in awhile...I just know it's gonna mess me up!
oh...and a true fact thrown in fo free..."No Two Cows Have the Same Noseprint" For some reason, I remember that from L.M. boyd back in the early 70's :)
This was indeed funny and my old comfy couch was a seven foot long bright orange monstrosity that my friends loved to crash on.
Would you believe I actually have a picture of number three!
Very funny. H5
Maybe the old, ugly couch is more comfortable because the missing socks are all hiding in the cushions! Here's an idea - take your remaining lonely socks, stitch them together and make a blanket of your own for those nights when you get the short end of the covers. Thanks for the fun list!
Love the sock mention! I have a sock monster bag of my own with mis matched socks in it, that seem to never be found lol.
Funny and fun list too. Thank you.
