The movie Pulp Fiction brought back John Travolta from the edge of extinction. Travolta would have always been known as "that guy from Saturday Night Fever".
Quentin Tarantino would be some wannabe writer for cliched screenplays if he hadn't hit a homerun with Pulp Fiction. Also, we would not have his great quote, "When people ask me if I went to film school I tell them, 'no, I went to films."
We would never have that cool vision of Uma Thurman dancing barefoot at the hamburger joint, while trying to win the trophy for best dance couple.
Quentin Tarantino single handedly brought back surf guitar music. "Miserlou" was a rearranged Greek folk song that was sped up by Dick Dale and recorded in 1962. "Bustin' Surfboards" and "Surf Rider" were also from 1962.
Tarantino was brilliant with his music. We will never be able to hear "Son of a Preacher Man" without thinking of Uma Thurman. Here are a few of the other songs that have been altered for the collective unconscious:
"Jungle Boogie"
"Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon"
"Let's Stay Together"
"You Never Can Tell"
well...it's an okay list...but you've selected the wrong John Travolta movie for the greatest movie of all time. the correct anser is "GREASE"!!! :)
Great list. I like John in anything. h5
