Television isn't what it use to be. As the times have changed, so has television. These are just a few of the wholesome television shows that made seventies a great decade.
"Little House on the Prairie" was a great television show. Based on the series written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, this television show put God, family and hard work above everything.
"The Waltons" was a terrific television show. It chronicled the lives of one family in 1930s and 1940s. There isn't anything like it on television today - family was always put first.
"Happy Days" was a wonderful television show. Set in the 1950s and 1960s told the story of the Cunninghams. And, of course, The Fonz. Who could ever forget The Fonz?
"The Patridge Family" was great television show. It chronicled the lives of a single mother and her singing family. There was never a dull moment on their multi-colored bus.
"The Brady Bunch" was a great show. It proved that having a blended family could work and work well. Although not very realistic - seeing all of life's problems were solved in less than thirty minutes.
It is doubtful television will be like it was in the 1970s. Things have changed too much to go back to the feel-good-family-first television many of us grew up watching.
I think someone might suffer from a "happy" overload if they tried to watch all of these...all were great but moderation is the key! :)
