Everyone knows that it is a job applying for a job and the process can be frustrating. However, don't let your frustration cause you to overreact by doing the following:
It is completely acceptable to follow-up on the application process. However, it is best to contact the employer within 10-14 business days to check on the status of your application. You should make no more than 2 phone calls to the employer. If the employer is not available you should make at least one call to follow-up and the second to verify receipt of message.
It is great to be eager and enthusiastic about wanting a new job. But there is a fine line between being aggressive and overbearing. The last thing you want to do is seem desperate to an employer. Do yourself a favor and remain professional at all times. If an employer is interested in you, you will be notified.
Employers receive thousands of resumes daily. Submitting your resume over 3 times is excessive and will not get you an interview any faster. There are times when technology does fail. Therefore, do submit your resume twice then go with the flow of the process.
Ladies and gentleman. Correspondance is great! But please be respectful of the employer's time. Use discretion and be tactful. An employer will think twice about hiring you if they have received 10 emails daily from you. Can you say the word stalker?
What can I say? You have definately crossed the line with this one. Please go back to step one on this list and refrain from doing the above.
It is important to be patient and always present yourself in the most professional manner when applying for employment. Yes, it is true no one likes rejection. But think about it, for every rejection that you experience in life, it makes you stronger and prepares you for the next opportunity that will come your way. So,don't give up.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed.
