Occasionally life interrupts our writing endeavors and before we know it a week or more goes by with nothing new produced. Here is why I haven't written on List My Five for the last 9 days
Recently I have had a lot of client articles that needed to get done. Since this is how I earn my real bread and butter I needed to focus much of my attention on writing for these deadlines instead of the fun sites.
We are kind of having a family reunion and since I have the biggest house I got elected as the place everyone would meet. I have spent several days doing a bit of extra cleaning and child proofing my home for the great nieces and nephews.
With so many other things on my mind lately every time I try to sit down to write I either go blank or simply can't settle on a topic to make a list out of.
With an ill brother in law, and the up coming reunion relatives are calling all times of the day and night and I just can't seem to be able to sit for 5 minutes without some kind of interruption.
Since List My Five really doesn't explain how you earn money or how often that they really update your actual earrings It is difficult to keep writing when you don't see yourself earning any money. I made a penny about a week into my writing and there has been no change in my income since then. It's frustrating to keep writing lists, see your views growing but, feel as though you aren't earning anything for all the time you put in.
While I love this site, there are times I feel I need to concentrate on other things in life and those writing sites where I am actually earning at least a few dollars.
Good list.
Your list is correct for many people I am sure. I write here for sharing of info and for fun since the money sure is not here. I miss seeing your current lists.
Yes, this is a fun site to write for. Hope things settle down for you soon MBBerry.
I'm with you on the hidden earnings formula, although I'm beginning to think the main advantage of their secrets is that it piques our curiosity :).
This is a good list, and I share your frustrations with the earnings, though I hold out hope due to the success of some contributors (e.g., Jenny).
Not to mention that it's really not that difficult to create these lists, and it's pretty fun (I find it particularly helpful as a brief exercise before writing an article).
Good list. Been there with the busy life from all directions, unable to think for myself. And it is true that some projects earn more than others. Ya gotta eat. H5
I'm doing well here with income. I feel it will get better as time moves on. This site is still fairly new. If people all keep writing the site will grow, and more viewers will come. You do have to do what you must, but I feel it will get better. I have to write at least one each day to show a fair income for the month.
