There are so many Disney blog sites to choose from and each has their own unique way of sharing interesting tidbits of information about the happiest and most magical place on earth. It was hard to narrow down, but here are my top five that are definitely worth checking out!
Ryan Wilson is the owner and content writer of this "chocked full of info" blog site. The Main Street Gazette is a good all purpose blog providing information and insight across a broad range of topics. Ryan and his wife Aileen are friends of ours who frequent the parks as often as possible. You won't want to miss out on this blog.
Imaginerding (with emphasis on the word in the middle..."nerd") has a good deal to do with books and video. Thanks to bloggers, George and Andrew Taylor, this is a great site for those of you who might, like me, either live with or know of a "Disney geek!" Imaginerding gives great insights into which book(s) to purchase for your Disney obsessed loved one.
This is a sight for anyone who has ever dreamed of 'leaving it all behind' and joining up with Disney. Carl and Ellie Peters (pseudonyms) allow us to watch each step as they follow through with their 2 year plan to pack up the kids, kiss their jobs goodbye, and move to Central Florida where they can be close to Disney and fulfill a life dream.
Personally, I like this one because it helps me understand my Disney obsessed hubby a bit better, and to know he's not the only one out there with this dream!
If one of your favorite things about Disney is the great food...you're going to love this one! Blog owner A J Wolfe provides expert insight on Disney dining reservations, the Disney dining plan, the best of Disney World's restaurants, and other information regarding food in the parks and resorts.
This is a helpful site in our household as I make suggestions to my husband, DOC, (this stands for Disney Obsessive-Compulsive!)who, much to my delight, has been trying his hand at playing home chef with various Disney recipes.
How could this not be on my top 5 list? This is my geek husband's blog, (my favorite Disney geek of course!) and it is well written, insightful, and cuts to the heart of one's love for family, fun, and all things Disney. It helps me to understand his passion for Disney through some of the posts that offer a glimpse into the emotions that Disney stirs in his heart. Add to that, it helps to keep him young; at least at heart and in spirit. This in turn, helps keep me young as well. Come check it out, it's sure to be on your top 5 list of Disney blogs as well!
Perhaps you did not know that there are thousands of adults, literally from all over the world, who still believe in the magic that Disney offers. These are men, women, parents, singles, grandparents, etc, who hold on to a bit of innocence and "young at heart" spirit. They do so by visiting the Disney parks as often as possible, connecting with each other through blogs like the ones mentioned here, becoming Facebook friends, and through Disney meet-ups.
Love Disney in January. No lines of summer.
