List My Five is a relatively new site, and people have been very optimistic for its success. Some writers have become discouraged due to the seemingly slow take-off. Here are the top five reasons I want List My Five to succeed.
I think that sitting down and popping off a List is quite enjoyable. The interface works very well without a hitch, and there is not a lot of research involved. The simple top five format is not like work.
When I write a list of the top five Milk Shake Flavors or Christmas Songs, I am expressing my opinions and views. I don't have to research or prove my statements. I have the stage, and if I say something is a top five, it is!
List My Five helps me organize my thoughts for other articles. The interface is organized to feel like a fill-in-the-blank outline, and this helps me on longer articles.
List My Five reminds me of Ehow in appearance and color theme, of course. However, the steps are reminiscent of Ehow, too. Many of the Ehow folks are here, and they are so helpful. The sense of community that we shared at Ehow seems to exist here, too. Of course, we never knew what we had at Ehow until it was gone.
When List My Five started, everyone seemed to think we were getting in on a ground floor opportunity. Those who were at Ehow from the earlier stages benefited greatly. We all had a little glimmer of hope that we would do the same with List My Five. It is slow coming, and many are expressing discouragement in the List My Five forums.
I really hope that List My Five grows and succeeds, bringing all of the writers along for the ride.
I agree.
Me too! H5
I wish too! Still hoping!
It would be great if LM5 were to take off. Thanks!
I'm with ya. LM5 is fun, and seems to hold a lot of promise. :-)
I'm hoping it will grow and gain a bigger audience. Good points!
Nice post, and I agree with all of your points, particularly the one about getting discouraged about the poor returns ....
