After graduating college in 2009 I was able to travel both internationally and domestically. I've been lucky enough to visit amazing places and also see loved ones along the way.
I've wanted to go to St. Johns ever since I started dating my boyfriend 5 and a half years ago. He would also tell me about how beautiful and picturesque it is. He told me details about the delicious mango tango drinks he had at the Westin Hotel. And finally this year we were able to go together and drink the mango tangos together. We attended a wedding of his friend from high school and it was so perfect. Beautiful blue and turquoise water, palm trees, the whole nine yards.
Rocky Mountain National Park is everything you think it would be. Beautiful snow capped mountains (even in the summer!) for miles and miles, wildlife, park rangers, and evergreen trees. And the town itself is perfectly touristy with great tshirts, ice cream shops, and rocky mountain coffee mugs.
I was so impressed by the history of this town. From the National Mall to the Capitol Building it was all so gorgeous. I went in the fall so the leaves were changing and it was such nice fall weather. The White House is huge and so amazing to think about the history that has taken place there. I can't wait to go back and visit all the free museums!
I loved Pike Place Market. It was so much fun. The energy there was so positive and upbeat. And as a huge lover of Starbucks it was really cool to see the first ever Starbucks in the downtown area right across from the Pike Place Market. The fresh flowers they sell are so pretty and very cheap at either $5 or $10 a bunch. And they really do throw the fish back and forth! I can't wait to go back.
My dad's hometown in the very south of Vietnam. My grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins live there and I love visiting them. And it's so refreshing to see other ways that people live.
