Introduction:This may seem quite funny, but writers remind me of an old favorite TV sitcom character. Read this list to figure out just who it is, what TV show it is, and the top five reasons why.
Think about the old favorite TV show My Name is Earl. He always worked real hard at finishing his list. That was his goal in life. Earl was very inspiring, and he was very proud of his lifelong task of making things right.
Writers are always working very hard at what they do. They write. That is their main goal in life. It is their lifelong task, and many writers really do hope to inspire the world.
Writers, as the character Earl, also always have good intentions. Writers would love to inspire the world, help to make things right, and they try to keep people's hope and dreams alive.
Earl always carried his list around with him wherever he went. He was always trying to decide what his next task would be. He was trying to better his life.
He had several items on his list to choose from, and he tried choosing the easier ones first. Some seemed impossible, but he didn't care. He was going to do them all. No matter what.
Writers are often carrying around lists with them. These lists are lists that they have created all on their own. Things that they want to accomplish no matter what. They do accomplish these tasks, too, just like Earl did.
Writers also want to better their lives by writing.
Once Earl had accomplished one of his many tasks on his list, he would cross it off. He was filled with the pride and joy of knowing that he had bettered his life and the life of someone else.
Writers do the same thing. Of course, their tasks are much easier. Their lists are composed of things that they would like to write about. As Earl, writers also have hopes of bettering their lives and to better other people's lives.
Writers are always jotting down ideas when they come to them, so they won't lose them. Otherwise, they might not remember what they had meant to write about once they got back to their computers to write.
I always loved Earl. As a writer is, Earl also was full of spike, willpower, and determination.
Earl was always getting into situations where he would feel the need to add more tasks to his list. His list was never-ending, knocking one item off while adding yet another.
This is also another thing that writers do. Writers are always adding new things to write about onto their lists. Everyday and everywhere, things will inspire writers to write.
Whether this inspiration comes from seeing it, hearing it, living through it, or even just by reading it, writers are always getting more ideas on what exactly to write about next.
Seriously, writers can all be encouraged by the character Earl.
Earl was always hoping that his good deeds would bring a good karma his way.
Writers are always looking and dreaming of having some good karma come their way, too.
All writers, whether writing online or not, have hopes and dreams for karma to help them to earn enough money to eventually be able to quit their day jobs. It would be great to have the time and ability to write whenever the inspiration arises to do so.
It isn't all about earning money, though. It would truly be awesome for a writer to write such a great article that it would be noticed by so many people that they might become famous.
Ha, cute list.
Funny, I never got into that show, but Ethan Suplee (the guy that played Earl's brother) is in the movie 'Unstoppable' that I am watching right now - multitasking; reading LM5 lists and movie watching.
Good list. Enjoyed reading it. H5 list.
You have a wonderful article with lots of good stuff in it for everyone; writer or otherwise.
I love "My Name is Earl." He's a fine example for writers to aspire to!
