Today, I learned about a Facebook application called, "My Top Followers." Who isn't interested in knowing who their most frequent followers are on Facebook? I ran the application and quickly learned who keeps an eye on me. It is a fun and free activity to finish off the year. Who are your top followers? The Facebook application allows you to save a photo of them and tag them so they are notified that they made the top of your list.
Priscilla was my number one follower. Interestingly enough, she is a fellow contributor here at ListMyFive.com. You can find a link to her profile and articles in the supporting links below. You can also find a link to the Facebook application there. Many of my favorite Facebook friends are freelance writers. Priscilla is an excellent writer. You can find her work at Yahoo! and Helium also.
According to Facebook, Sandy is my number 2 follower. She is my coworker at my part-time job. Sandy is indeed one of my favorite friends, however, I rarely see any posts from Sandy in my Facebook news feed. I know Facebook attempts to show me the news that I would be most interested in, adapting the feed to my preferences. However, I wish Facebook would get better at this because most of my friend's posts don't show up under "top news." Maybe in 2011, I will get to see more of Sandy's posts. Is that a deal Facebook?
Christine is a Facebook friend and freelance writer that I had the pleasure of meeting at WeHow 2009. Christine has 4 huskies and they do keep her busy. I enjoy reading her posts about her furry friends and according to Facebook, she enjoys my Facebook posts also. Christine blogs about her beautiful Siberian huskies here: http://mysibetribe.blogspot.com/
Lorene is an online friend that I met through a parent support list. Lorene has 10 children, so needless to say her posts are always interesting. She too, is one of my favorite Facebook friends.
Virginia is a fellow writer friend also. (Freelance writers do seem to stay active on Facebook, don't they?) I first saw Virginia's published work on eHow.com. She is also and expert writer at Squidoo. A retired librarian who loves to read, Virginia has a unique and exquisite writing style.
Those are my top five followers on Facebook in 2010. I know you can't wait to see who your top followers are!
Great list, and I'm proud to see my friend Virginia Allain on it. Thanks for letting us know about the Facebook application.
I am also quite flattered. I love your Squidoo tips. Writing online has the extra benefit of "meeting" other writers and I am so blessed to have met you!!!
Aww, I'm flattered to be included in your online friends. I like your writing style too and your Squidoo tips, so I keep an eye on your postings on Facebook.
