Natural antacids for upset stomach, heartburn or any kind of gastro disturbance can be greatly helped without using toxic chemicals. Some of them can be found in your own supermarket or kitchen.
Organic, non-aluminum baking soda is best to buy. A teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in a glass of warm water will calm and alkalize an upset stomach and other gut upsets. You need to drink it fairly quick and chase it with some water or a little natural juice.
See links below for products.
Anything with good bacteria in it will help balance out the flora in your gut. The best yogurt is homemade from raw milk or coconut water. If you buy the store bought, make sure it is organic and not too full of sugar.
Ginger is natural acid reducer and has been used for years for stomach upsets. It is really good if you grate some fresh ginger into a cup of hot water and a little stevia if you need some sweetener in it.
Kombucha is a fermented drink that you can find ay many health food stores. It has kick to it, but a fizzy, nice one that will calm that upset stomach down pretty fast and it actually tastes good if you like fermented drinks, but it is an acquired taste for some and I now love it as it is full of B vitamins and so good for your digestive system.
Lacto fermented foods go way back to bible days and what the people of that time ate. They understood the importance of fermenting foods like cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, onions and even bread and granola. Very good for you.
Great job on this list. I'd heard of kombucha before, but didn't know this much about it. Wanting to try it now.
Because I have problems with this, I was very interested in reading this list. I am anxious to try these items to help with heartburn.
Thank you all.
Ginger without doubt is #1. Everytime I get a tummy ache or suspect heartburn is coming on I chomp on crystalized ginger. HI5
BTW - best wishes that you resolve your health situation.
