Many homeschoolers are involved in so many extracurricular activites, but most forget to track them.
Keep track of when, and how often they attend sports activities. This will help them to fulfill their gym requirement if needed. It's good for your own records even if it doesn't seem to be mandated by the state.
Anything related to Art. If your child takes and arts and craft class at one of the craft stores, or you teach them how to sew. Always keep good records. How about an art museum. Make sure this is in your records.
Any kind of concerts, or singing in the church choir. These are activities that could be referenced at a later date. If your child takes any kind of music lessons, document it!
How about if your child goes to the theater to see a performance. You need to make sure this is in their file. Keeping track of this information may one day be deemed important.
Does your child compete for anything at all? Even video game competitions or a beauty contest. This should become part of your child's portfolio. Your child's portfolio can be used at a later date and you will have everything ready.
Parents have their own way of keeping these records, whether it's a piece of paper, or a folder full of the activities. Whatever your method, the most important thing is that you have the records.
