Everyone knows that an exercise routine involving walking is very health beneficial. Whether it's consistently everyday, or on a whimsical walk, getting out there and moving those ol' bones is a plus.
In this (current) economical state, walking is a very practical way to conserve energy and to save money, by utilizing the ol' feet. It's also good for the environment.
Walking while it's lovely out, gives us the opportunity to experience the unity/connection that we have with the universe, as well as soaking-up the beauty of the planet. Walking in the rain, also may be refreshingly delightful.
When you walk, you get to meet people. That is good for the mind and spirit. It is socially stimulating; as well as, it allows one to meditate and clear the mind.
Walking de-stresses. After a nice little walk, your mind may be cleared, your bones and muscles exercised, and the stresses that you were holding on to, suddenly may disappear. You are r.e.l.a.x.e.d. - or invigorated, because of the loss of the stressors that (perhaps) were draining your energy.
