Introduction:It seems the "in thing" for Christmas these days is to choose a Christmas theme when decorating for the holiday. "Victorian Christmas," "country Christmas" and "candy cane Christmas" are a few traditional themes you can choose from when decorating for Christmas. Instead of something like that, try a non-traditional Christmas. Just for fun, go redneck for Christmas this year.
Make Christmas garland like a redneck. String the tabs off of aluminum cans and the metal caps off bottles. Add some burnt popcorn and you are good to go.
Create Christmas ornaments like a redneck. Use chewing tobacco containers as Christmas balls. Broken ornaments such as headless reindeer and one-legged Santas deserve a place of honor on a redneck Christmas tree.
Use redneck Christmas ribbon. Make redneck ribbon out of old flannel shirts and that worn out "house dress." Socks with holes and stains can also be used as redneck Christmas ribbon.
Make some Christmas tinsel like a redneck. Use that old burnt aluminum foil as tinsel. Cut it into varying lengths and throw it on the tree. The silver wrappers from inside a cigarette pack also work well.
Create a Christmas wreath like a redneck. Use the other redneck Christmas decorations on your Christmas wreath. Be sure to attach it to an old toilet seat and hang it proudly on your door.
This isn't your normal Christmas theme, but it can be fun. Christmas only happens once a year and it doesn't have to be boring every time. Give a redneck Christmas a try. If for no other reason than to shock your neighbors and freak out your mother-in-law.
