Ways to Drink a Beer

Introduction:

There is no wrong way to drink a beer (or even soft drink if you dare). In fact, drinking a beer the conventional way is great for a casual evening or public venue; but, sometimes the occasion calls for something wild and extra fun like the following top five styles.

Outdoorsman

Instructions:
Open a beer can normally. Begin to chug; but as you chug, crush the other end of the can (the bottom of the can) and crunch it from bottom to top forcing beer into your mouth as you chug.

Awesomeness:
There are essentially only two things to do with a beer can: drink it, and crush it. The Outdoorsman manages to combine the two in a fast-paced, ultra wild, manly manner.

Shotgun

Instructions:
Hold a beer can on its side with the bottom (side without the tab) facing you and slightly elevated. With a key or a knife, create a hole in the side of the beer can (which is currently facing up in your hand) as large or small as you prefer. Finally, raise the hole in the side of the can to your mouth as you simultaneously open the tab (which will be facing up as normal) and chug until finished.

Awesomeness:
The pressure enables the beer to flow out extra fast as you chug your beer. Shotgunning is great to race with friends or teach someone at a social event like a football game day.

Funnel

Instructions:
Obtain a beer funnel, which is a basic funnel sealed to the end of a piece of flexible plastic tubing with a valve towards the other end of the tubing. Keep the valve closed, and poor into the funnel as many beers as you choose. Have someone hold the funnel above your head, open the valve, and chug through the tubing.

Awesomeness:
This is a timeless classic and another one of the fastest methods of drinking a beer. Funneling is highlighted by its ability to provide multiple beers within the same drinking attempt, and its use of gravity to rapidly force the beer into your mouth.

Waterfall

Instructions:
Shake a beer can. Aim the top down towards your mouth. Open the tab, and chug as the explosion/flow enter your mouth.

Awesomeness:
This method gets its wild and crazy reputation largely due to its messy nature, but is great for lightening the mood and getting people pumped up at a party. In addition to looking cool, if aimed well it can result in a relatively fast beer chug.

Old Fasioned Chug

Instructions:
Open the beer tab, and chug straight out of the natural opening.

Awesomeness:
This is a classy classic that minimizes messiness, but still results in a relatively fast beer-drinking method that is fun to do with friends.
