Introduction:

Some 10 year old children might do so much better than even adults on these trivia puzzles. Adults reading these might try their hand so without keeping you up at night the answers are included. That is just in case you don't know all these on the quiz board of trivia for children. Have fun.

Geography

Name the United States states that start with the letter "M". You actually have to know the sounds of the letter "M" so the really young children are not good candidates for this trivia. The states that have names beginning with the letter "M" are: Maine, Missouri, Michigan, Maryland, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Montana and Minnesota.

Science

At what temperature does water boil? The older the child the more in depth will be the answer to this question. For simplicity water boils at 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Those are at standard pressure, however change depending what the elevation is that the water is being boiled.

Animals

Do you know what class of animal a walrus belongs? Each child seems to smile just thinking of the walrus since it is an amusing looking animal in the mammalia class. If mammal is stated, that is close enough. The older child might even tell you some of the more technical names mentioning order being carnivora or carnivor and kingdom being animalia or animal.

Colors

What two colors do you mix to obtain the color green? Even the third graders might be able to answer this one since finger painting gave them this lesson at an early age. The colors to mix to get the color green are yellow and blue.

Music

What are the notes in the musical alphabet on the score sheet for musicians? This is used for singers and musicical instruments as well. The lines from bottom to top are: E, G, B, D, F remembered by the jingle "every good boy does fine". The spaces from bottom to top are remebered by the word F, A, C, E.
