Homeopathic Arnica Montana is a remedy made from the mountain daisy. The most popular form of homeopathic Arnica is pellets, but creams, gels, and ointments containing Arnica also are fairly common. Herbal formulations of Arnica are also available, but are very different from and potentially more dangerous than homeopathic preparations.
Arnica is the remedy of choice for bruising and trauma. It can reduce pain and swelling and minimize discoloration. Take a few pellets after a fall, or apply a topical preparation to the affected area. Do not apply topical Arnica to injuries with broken skin.
As with bruising and trauma, Arnica is a primary remedy for sprains and strains. Taking Arnica pellets immediately after the injury, along with standard care such as rest, ice, and elevation, can keep discomfort and edema to a minimum.
Arnica can prevent the muscle stiffness and soreness that comes from over-exertion, such as shoveling snow or a vigorous workout. Take pellets after the workout, and apply a topical to the affected area if any stiffness occurs.
Homeopathic Arnica Montana in pellet form is valuable remedy to keep on hand. After an injury or an accident, immediate administration of Arnica pellets can prevent severe bruising and swelling while en route to a doctor.
Many pet owners and homeopathic veterinarians give homeopathic Arnica immediately before and after their pets go through surgery or a dental procedure. Because it reduces swelling, pain, and bruising, Arnica can increase healing time after surgeries.
The use of Arnica Montana remains a topic of skepticim; critics maintain homeopathics have no more effect than a placebo. Most agree, however, that there is little to no harm in giving homepathics so long as other necessary medical care is not compromised.
I love this stuff, oral and the cream. Glad to see it getting some publicity! Thanks!
