Summer season is my favorite. Flower and vegetable gardens are one of my favorite places to hang out. I love so many things about the summer garden and the feeling I get from being in the midst of flowers and ripe tomatoes and corn. Here are a few favorite garden quotes.
One of my dad's favorite writers was a poor, humble man who loved animals and ecology, St. Francis of Assisi.
"A single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows."
"Being a child at home alone in the summer is a high-risk occupation. If you call your mother at work thirteen times an hour, she can hurt you."
A beautiful description of the summer garden.
"I know that if odor were visible, as colour is, I'd see the summer garden in rainbow clouds."
"I live on an island and listen to jazz all day long. The sun is always shining, but you can still see the stars. The breeze sings astonishingly like Ella and the wind rumbles in a Louis way. My friends and I dance under magic skies."
"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time."
Great quotes. I have often wondered why people don't sign their names to such delightful quotes.
Wonderful and very thoughtful quotes.
