You don't want to spend a ton of money on paralegal school because the starting salary for a paralegal - if you find a job at all - is not alot of money.
The schools with American Bar Association approval are considered a bit better than a school that is not ABA approved, although not all employers will care whether the paralegal certificate is from an ABA approved school or not.
You really want to attend a paralegal school that requires an internship at a law firm or corporate legal department. You really need hands experience to learn what it takes to be a paralegal and you may get a job offer from your internship.
If you already have a bachelors degree you only need to attend a shorter paralegal certificate program. If you don't have an undergraduate degree, then a two year associates program is the way to go.
The school will tell you some percentage number of graduates that got jobs when they finished paralegal school. Find out if those graduates actually landed paralegal jobs. Talk to working paralegals and find out where they went to school and where their fellow paralegals went to school.
